On April 14, 2022, when Shanghai was closed for the second week, China's luxury goods industry ushered in important information: Yaok Institute released the "2021 China Luxury Digital Report" in Shanghai. When all luxury stores in Shanghai are closed, and we don't know when to resume, we use numbers to tell everyone what is "online and offline".

On January 18, 2022, the Yaok Institute, a professional research and consulting organization for high-end lifestyles in China, released the "2020-2021 China Luxury Report" with the "post-epidemic Chinese luxury market" as its core focus. This is the 12th consecutive year that Yaok Institute has released the report. Dr. Zhou Ting, the chief researcher of the report and an expert in luxury industry research, gave professional and objective opinions and data, as well as rational and forward-looking answers.

April 23, spring is full of fragrance, peaches and plums are fragrant. Yaok training held a grand 1st anniversary celebration dinner at the Bund Galleria Art Center. More than 120 guests attended the evening, including elites and opinion leaders from various industries, brand leaders, entrepreneurs, cultural artists, lifestyle experts, celebrities and VIPs, mentors and students.

The Dean of Yaok Research Institute Tina Zhou delivered a keynote speech at the China Merchants Securities Capital Market Summit 2019. Here Tina shared the institute’s cutting edge research findings. These included the shifting focus away from channels towards products, the disappointing purchasing power of the so-called ‘middle class’ and the disappearance of vertical distribution platforms and of brand agents.

The Beijing International Brand Festival 2019 is now in full swing at Jinbao Place in central Beijing. The Festival is an initiative by the Commerce Bureau of the Municipal Government of Beijing to boost local consumption. As the organiser, Yaok is presenting a vast range of brands, catwalks and themed events to eager locals. From Chopard, Dunhill, Police, Curiel, De Rigo to Tangle Angle from the UK, it will be a month long feast of the best from around the world.

Yaok has teamed up with HEC Paris through a Strategic Partnership Framework Agreement. Under the agreement, Yaok and HEC Paris will set up a joint brand research centre in both Shanghai and Paris, developing leadership courses for women and young people. The revival of traditional Chinese brands is also part of the work planned. HEC Paris is the top business school in France, and ranks 3rd in all of Europe. Its well known alumni include the CEO of Kering, L'Oréal, Orange, Schneider, and the former President François Hollande.

Kevin has just been appointed Professor in Practice by Durham University in recognition of his authority in cross culture/language communication between the UK and China. The appointment establishes a formal relationship between Durham University and KL Communications Ltd, a leading Chinese communication service provider in the UK founded by Kevin. The appointment will mean students at Master degree programmes at Durham will now be able to have work experience at KL Communications.

The annual Yaok Luxury Awards 2018 celebrated the success of brands in China at the prestigious Bulgari Shanghai. More than 200 brand owners and executives filled the historic banqueting hall. Tina Zhou, Dean of Yaok University, gave her forecast for market trends in China. Martin Moodie looked to the future of the global duty-free market. Kevin Lin spoke about the ability of Chinese entrepreneurs to bridge cultures as they extend their international reach. The winner of the category of New Entrant was a Spanish wine – much to the delight of the Spanish press.
